The Workman XS-201 is a two-position coaxial antenna switch designed for radio communications installations. It allows a single transceiver to be connected to either of two antennas through a front-panel rotary selector switch. The unit was commonly used in CB radio, amateur radio, scanner, and other RF communications applications where operators needed to quickly switch between antennas without reconnecting coaxial cables.

The XS-201 was marketed as an economical station accessory and became a popular choice among CB radio operators during the 1970s and later decades.

Three SO-239 connectors are mounted on the rear panel, consisting of one transmitter connection and two antenna connections. The metal enclosure provides shielding and mechanical durability for fixed-station installations.

History

Workman Electronic Products developed the XS-201 as part of its extensive line of communications accessories. The switch was intended for operators who maintained multiple antennas for different operating conditions or frequency ranges.

The model became widely available through CB radio dealers, communications-equipment distributors, and mail-order suppliers. Its simple design, relatively high power rating, and low cost made it a common station accessory for both CB and amateur radio operators.
